Old photo of Green Bank, Gobowen with members of the family of James Edwards.  Car believed to be first in district (BCA 26 Oct 1994) Article by Geoffrey Edwards who is grandson of James Edwards, also mentioned Pryce & Mark Usher.

The picture can also be found in taken from Bernard Mitchell’s, ‘Oswestry: A Pictorial History 1850-1950’ and reads “This 1904 Rover 8 h.p. reputed to be one of the first cars in the Oswestry area was purchased by E. J. and H. M. Edwards of Greenbank, Gobowen from T Ellis’ Garage in Salop Road. The Edwards’ family owned the Lodge Brewery, Weston Rhyn and eight local inns.”
