An Advertizer article from 1976 which was about the work we were doing then in our local study about the Llanymynech Lime Kilns. That was before the site was fully recognised as Heritage. If it was now I would not have gained permission to visit the site because of Health and Safety regulations. As it was the site was then owned by the Bradford Estates whose office then was in Knockin. I got permission from the agent there whose name now escapes me. At the time the site was a complete jungle with disused artifacts hidden in the undergrowth. There was even barbed wire from WW2 hidden away there. But for the children and me the exploration was exciting and magic. It certainly made learning really enjoyable.
