The Cross Keys Pub and adjoining shop & outbuildings which had been vandalised.  BCA 9 January 1974.  Newspaper article reads “Every window in the property has been smashed, fittings broken and tiles torn off the roof.  The buildings have now been secured with boards, which say villagers, has created an eyesore just as grim as the original vandalism.  Next door, at the launderette, Mrs Ann Davies said the children had jumped all over the washing machines and had damaged the interiors of the machines by climbing in and out of them.  They are in the 10 year old age group and roam about in a gang of about eight.  Last year the church had to be locked because of internal damage.”
