Business Leaflet for Llwynmaen (Llwyn y Maen) Colliery, December 1831
The settlement of Llwynymaen is the few houses in the dip that crosses the river Morda between Oswestry and Trefonen. It buts up to Trefarclawdd and the mines are on either side of the road. They were the very early mines dating from late 1700’s to 1850’s.
